Christopher Waters - PartnerChristopher practised initially in London and since 1995 in the Midlands. In 1998, together with two colleagues, he established Mortimers. Christopher now specialises in Employment Law and related areas. He has been a member of the Employment Law Association for many years. Christopher acts for both employers and employees and he conducts cases including Unfair and Wrongful Dismissal, Redundancy exercises, Sexual, Racial or Disability based Discrimination, Working Time Regulations, and the TUPE legislation. He also drafts contractual documentation, company handbooks and policy statements.

Karen Brake - PartnerFamily Law Partner, Karen Brake, is a member of the Law Society's Family Law Panel and Resolution. She specialises in divorce and separation for high net worth individuals, cohabitation disputes and issues affecting same-sex couples. She is a member of the Collaborative Family Law Group.
She is also a member of the Law Society's Children Panel and represents children in care proceedings and in private law proceedings under Rule 9.5 FPR. She also acts for parents in private and public law children cases.

Bryony Walker - PartnerBryony has many years experience as a solicitor in the areas of Family and Education Law. She has been appointed to the Family Law Panel by the Law Society, is a supervisor for the Legal Services Commission in the area of Family Law and a member of Resolution.
Bryony is one of the few solicitors in the country to specialise in the area of Education Law and is a member of the Education Law Association. She also is a supervisor for the Legal Services Commission in the area of Education Law. She also supports parents of children with special educational needs and disabilities through her voluntary work with charities both at a local and national level. She has recently been appointed to the Disability Rights Commission Education Litigation Panel of Solicitors. Since January 2007 she has been accredited by Resolution as a Specialist Family Lawyer

Rebecca Lively - PartnerRebecca qualified in December 1997. She worked for some years in Private Practice in London, before spending 15 months in Australia practising in Queensland. She joined Mortimers in August 2003 and whilst she has a residuary speciality in Personal Injury and remains a member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel, she now practises exclusively in the area of Family Law and is a member of Resolution. She acts for both private and publicly funded clients and manages the LSC Franchise for the Mortimers Hereford Office. She became a partner in January 2006.

Joanne BriscoeJoanne qualified as a solicitor in 1997. She previously worked for a firm specialising in Professional Negligence. Joanne joined Mortimers in 2002, since which time she has developed a Specialist Employment/Litigation Practice, dealing with substantial Civil Claims and all aspects of Employment and Commercial Litigation.

Penny NicholsonPenny Nicholson joined Mortimers upon qualifying as a solicitor in June 2008. She practices in the areas of Family and Child Care law, with a special interest in children matters, care proceedings and domestic violence. She has many years experience dealing with the protection of children and vulnerable adults, having worked as a police officer in Family Protection and more recently as a National Child Protection Officer for the Catholic Church.
Penny specialises in all matters concerning children and domestic abuse. She also deals with the full spectrum of family work including divorce and separation and her clients are both publicly funded and privately paying.

Kathryn PriceKathryn qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 and has specialised in family law since then. She has experience of acting for both private and publically funded clients in divorce proceedings, and in the resolution of financial matters following divorce or separation. Helen KellyHelen qualified as a solicitor in 1993. She joined Mortimers in 2008 having worked in East Yorkshire, North East Lincolnshire and Worcester. She has practised in family law throughout her career and has particularly specialised in children matters both public and private including adoption with an international element. She also deals with the financial aspects of divorce and separation and domestic violence. She is a member of the Law Society's Children Panel authorised to represent children and adults in public law proceedings as well as being a trained mediator, a member of the Law Society's Family Law Panel and Resolution.

Małgorzata Bronisz-HandleyMałgorzata obtained a Degree in Law at the Law and Administration Faculty of Szczecin University in Poland, in 2003. She initially gained working experience in a solicitors practice in the United Kingdom and for the last few years has been working at solicitors practices in Poland. In June 2007 Małgorzata joined Mortimers, dealing particularly with Polish client matters, for both individuals and businesses involved with the Polish community and offering legal services to clients that wish to invest in a growing Polish market.
